Our “One of 360” series continues as we learn about Trinity M. '23. Trinity is a sophomore boarding student who returned to campus for in-person learning this January. Read more in Trinity’s own words on her classes and favorite Emma traditions:

On home...

I’ve been living in New Jersey all my life but recently moved to Charlotte, North Carolina! I now split my time between both places. I have four sisters!

On Emma...

My experience as Emma has been good so far! I came in as a freshman and was new to the environment like everyone else, and ended up finding my group of friends!

The classes I’ve enjoyed the most have definitely been Intro to Painting with Ms. Slaughter because I found a new way to express my creativity as well as step outside of my comfort zone! I also really enjoyed African History with Mr. Hatala because of the new information I was able to learn about the region.

On photography...

I’m pretty passionate about photography! I’ve been into it since middle school and have been taking photo electives and courses for some time now. I love it because I get to control the perspective!

On Emma traditions...

My favorite tradition at Emma so far has been the Emma Bowl or Revels! Apollo was great as well!

On hobbies...

Probably Crocheting or Knitting! I tried once a long time ago but never gave myself the chance to properly dive deeper into it!

More thoughts…

I just wanted to thank people like my advisors, houseparents, friends and teachers who made my experience here an overall great experience. I’ve definitely been able to transition into this new environment smoothly because of the great people I’ve met!
